Introduction of Department

Founder chairperson of institute, great visionary Hon. Mr. Padmakar Mulay started Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Santhas (CSMSS) Ayurved Mahavidyalaya and Rugnalaya in the year 1990 with a view to educate the people in rural area of Maharashtra region. Department of Sanskrit Samhita Siddhant was established in the year 1990. Under the supervision of Dr. Aswar S. R. The department is full fledge actively engaged in learning in order to understand the basic concepts of Ayurveda in today’s changing world. The department has seven qualified teaching faculties and two non-teaching faculties. The department is fulfilled with teaching assets, charts, departmental library, models and specimen.

For progress of students, department conducts innovative T-L Methods as per NCISM, test tutorial program, workshop of Sanskrit and review of teacher guardianship. The department conducts the meeting with students and parents in association with career guidance for the better practice in future.

The teaching faculty is engaged in paper setting, assessment, seminars etc. Expert lectures of Sanskrit are arranged by department to increase interest in subject.

There is a huge change in the academic world since 2021 in India. NCISM, the apex body of Ayurveda prescribed course curriculum for first professional BAMS for 2021-22. competency based dynamic curriculum (CBDC) started from this batch for U.G. Syllabus includes all aspects such as course code.CO, PO and all. Over all five subjects are included under Samhita Siddhanta and Sanskrit department.

Department Mission

1. To organize seminars / workshops/symposiums for scientific exploration and validation of ancient classical texts.

2. To establish application of ancient views and basic principles in this modern era.
